Eating in Season: Early November

For the many of us who do not live on farms or rural areas, it is rarely possible to tell what is currently fresh and in season from a quick walk through the produce aisle of the supermarket. Twice a month, I will post what is currently in season for the bulk of the United States. As we move into the autumn season, here is what’s fresh from the farm:

Apples
Beets
Bok Choy
Broccoli
Brussels Sprouts
Cabbage
Carrots
Cauliflower
Fennel
Kale
Maize
Mushrooms
Okra
Onions
Pomegranates
Potatoes
Pumpkin
Raspberries
Rutabaga
Scallions
Snap Peas
Squash
Sweet Potatoes
Turnips
