I’m fascinated to rediscover this all the way across the ocean, 60 years later!
Bananen Auflauf, as we called it, was one of our favorite lunches (main meal of the day); it was served over rice with a hefty serving of the sauce, made at the time with Kraft, which I would not do anymore.
My sister and I just talked and we will try your cheese sauce recipe when we have it next time! Can’t wait!! Thanks.

It isn’t really delicious, but it works in its odd way. Fun to see somebody else attempt it as well! 🙂
