I found your site because I am planning on making Amelia Simmons pound cake this week and was trying to find at what step other people added the rosewater. My next google search was naturally going to be “how much is a gill?” but you answered that question too!

I started my blog with the same intention as yours but I have branched out because since then. I do still post heritage recipes…my most recent one was a Sweet Potato Pie from The Virginia Housewife. Do you have that book? Amazing! I’ll start following your blog as soon as I’m done writing this ridiculously long comment. 🙂
